Faith In Action Volunteers of Monroe County is a 501(c3) organization that receives no government funding. We operate solely on donations from churches and individuals as well as 2 small community grants that are re-applied for annually.
Faith In Action Volunteers of Monroe County is a volunteer program which is designed to help individuals put their faith to work by helping neighbors in need throughout Monroe County.
Our volunteers have assisted over 160 clients in the past year. These services include:
Transportation to medical appointments in Tomah, Sparta, Cashton,
La Crosse and Madison.
We offer grocery shopping and delivery services in Tomah each Tuesday and Sparta each Wednesday morning.
Our volunteers schedule friendly visits with lonely homebound seniors, moving help and minor home repairs, and assist with errands, lawn mowing and daily transportation needs.
We collaborate with local organizations and social service agencies for the needs of our clients. Our volunteers have assisted individuals through referrals from Hospice and Palliative Care, Tomah Memorial Hospital, Gundersen Health System, Mayo Clinic Health System, Monroe County Senior Services and Social Services, Tomah Schools, Monroe County Churches, nursing homes, assisted living communities and the VA.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Faith In Action Volunteers of Monroe County is to help elderly and disabled residents of Monroe County remain independent in their homes for as long as safely possible.
We pair up volunteers with those in need. Services provided by volunteers include transportation to medical appointments, friendly visits, grocery shopping and delivery, errands, yard work, minor home repairs and more. All services are provided at no charge to the client.
